Education

He was a Smith Mundt/Fullbright scholar at the Harvard Graduate School of Business where he obtained his Master's Degree in Business Administration in 1962. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree from the De La Salle College in Bacolod in 1958. He earned his Doctorate in Business Management, Honoris Causa, from the De La Salle University in 1992 and in 2003, attained his Doctorate of Law, Honoris Causa, from the University of St. La Salle.
 

Experience

He is the Chairman of the Board of Philippine Investment Management (PHINMA), Inc.; Phinma Corp.;  Phinma Property Holdings Corp.; and Union Galvasteel Corporation.

Mr. Hilado is also the Vice Chairman of Trans Asia Power Generation Corporation and Trans-Asia Petroleum Corporation.

He is the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Phinma Corp.

He is also a director of A. Soriano Corporation; First Philippine Holdings Corporation; Philex Mining Corporation; United Pulp and Paper Co., Inc.; Beacon Property Ventures, Inc.; Manila Cordage Company; Smart Communications, Inc.; Digital Telecommunications Philippines, Inc. Mr. Hilado is an Honorary Consul of Ecuador.
 

Award

He was awarded the MAP Management Man of the Year in 1991.
